Weekend in London

We spent last weekend in London sightseeing.  Kelly got tickets months ago for the Buckingham Palace Stateroom tour so we decided to spend the weekend and see some sites.  We spent Saturday at St. Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London.  Sunday we did the Buckingham Palace tour and then took the kids to Hamley's toy store.

Once we arrived at our hotel we decided to take a walk and find a restaurant.  On our walk we found a parking lot full of supercars.

The Buckingham Palace tour was awesome.  It is amazing how lavish the royalty live.  The rooms have beautiful chandeliers, paintings, furniture, etc.  There was a special exhibit of the royal diamonds for the Queen's Jubilee celebration.  Just unbelieveable!  Picture taking was not allowed unfortunately.

I couldn't wait to get out of this toy store.  It was 6 floors full of kids and extremely hot, but the kids enjoyed it.  Overall it was a wonderful trip.  We got so lucky with the weather considering its been raining here like crazy.
Next Thursday we fly to Chicago for the summer holiday.  Can't wait to see our family and friends.
