Bournemouth Trip
This past weekend we headed to the south coast of England for the bank holiday weekend to celebrate Kelly's birthday. We got really lucky with the weather even though it was chilly. We stayed at the highcliff Marriott Hotel which was within walking distance of the beach and pier. Cole and Abigale loved playing in the sand and riding their scooters along the beach.

The second day we headed to Swanage to take a 30 minute train ride to Corfe castle. We spent the morning at the castle touring the castle and watching the battle between the English and the Vikings. After the castle we walked the small village and then enjoyed cream tea. Cole and Abigale had fun on the train and we were able to take the steam train back to Swanage.

After Swanage we headed to Lulworth Cove where we saw some of the most beautiful scenery we have seen since living in England. After parking we headed up the stone pathway to the famous Durdle Door, which is a natural limestone arch.

On Sunday we spent the morning on the beach and then drove to some nearby towns in the afternoon.

Monday we headed to Poole Quay to enjoy a cruise around the harbour and out to the Old Harry Rocks. The morning fog was rolling in so visibility wasn't that great but we enjoyed it anyway. Before we left to go home we enjoyed a nice seafood lunch to celebrate Kelly's birthday.
